Here at the Haslemere Thespians, we love a debut.** And when the debutant** in question has already appeared for a cornucopia of other local societies and built a well deserved reputation for excellence in all things, we get particularly excited. So let's hear from the man himself:
"Ellis Nicholls is sometimes asked (or may one day be asked) where the native glades are in which the roistering voles are delighting? Is that a quote from Shakespeare? The answer is at the Haslemere Hall this Friday 4 and Saturday 5 October during the wonderful Shakespeare Revue, when songs and sketches on a theme of Shakespeare will appear. Come along to spot the solution to this riddle, while enjoying this celebrated theatrical entertainment, rounded off by delicious refreshments. When you find the answer, please let Ellis know."
There you have it. Performances will be at 7:30 pm on both days with Evening Supper plus a matinee at 2:30 pm on the Saturday with Afternoon Tea. Tickets are available from the Box Office on 01428 642161 or go to https://www.haslemerehall.co.uk/sales/genres/theatre/the-shakespeare-revue---haslem
**In the circumstances, we are unable to dip into our photo archive to show Ellis in previous performances with us, so in order to keep the theme running, here he is in profusion.
